If you had to describe what working at P&G is like in three words what would they be?

Why did you apply to P&G?

I wanted to be part of a company with a strong heritage with brands rooted in science and innovation and to work with people who are passionate about their businesses and who have fun in their work. P&G ticked all of those boxes for me and still does to this day!

What do you do in your role on a day to day basis?

I work in Sales and manage a number of P&G brands externally with my retailer contact to enable growth for the retailer’s category and the P&G brands.

I spend the majority of my time working with people. This ranges from building the next big product launch with my retailer or tailoring a corporate selling strategy to help my retailer win in the market. Managing the internal budgets for my business, planning exciting product campaigns with Marketing or discussing how best products should look on shelf in store with our Shopper Design team.

What has your training and development been like during your time with P&G?

One of the best things about P&G is the time spent on development and training. There are key courses tailored for your position which are available to everybody. We have fantastic coaching, mentoring and manager systems in place to enable everybody in the company to grow.

I have received trainings in many different countries which are fantastic experiences and a great way to meet people from other markets and learn about their work.

How is the work environment/culture at P&G?

Very diverse and inclusive, everybody has a voice in the company across all levels. There is a strong culture of doing the right thing. Everybody wants you to do well and this leads to a culture where everybody is extremely helpful and open.

How have you been challenged at P&G?

The beauty of working with P&G is that no two days are the same. Every day, opportunities appear along with challenges. The exciting part of this is when we utilise all opportunities and develop plans to overcome challenges in the business it leads to new learning's and helps to develop us all.

What advice would you give to somebody considering applying to P&G?

Apply today! The job market is scary at first with so many options and choices to make, but 3 years on I know 100% that I made the right choice when applying for P&G. I have made friends for life, launched multiple fantastic products into the market, received training in multiple countries and I am still learning everyday!
